History Of The Practice

This practice was founded by Alan Wynde in partnership with Fred Hampshire, and was originally in the garage of his family home!

After Mr Hampshire retired in 1988 the house was demolished and the purpose built surgery that you now see came into being. (With a few modifications along the way!)

In July 2004, Phoenix Veterinaty Centre became a stand alone surgery on its own merrit.

Ian was keen to concentrate on client continuity and care,and to concentrate on his own interest in oethopaedic surgery.

Claire Newton BVSc MRCVS also came on board at this time, initially just as a helping hand but after a successful time now as a parner in the practice from April 2007.

It is now, as it has always been, a fully equipped surgery with operating theatre, laboratory, ultrasonic dentistry, ultrasound and x-ray facilities.

Ian ,Claire, and staff aim to run a friendly and personal service enjoyed during Alan Wynde's days, and with a smaller team, no longer shared with other branches we hope to acheive this more readily.

We continue to develop as a practice and are always looking to improve the quality of service given to our clients.

This summer we are planning to ectend our kennel and hospitalisation facilities, and hopefully give our feline friends a little more quiet surroundings!
